Congratulations to Pru and Sebastian, who celebrated their wedding recently at The Carriage Room, Thornlands. This delightful couple are our first bride and groom to be featured here and we sincerely thank the lovely bride, Pru, for submitting her wedding for our blog.

Pru and Sebastian ordered stunning French Macaron Bomboniere from us and incorporated them beautifully into their charming wedding day with 80 guests on 24th March 2012…

I’m very much looking forward to tonight’s Master Chef Australia. The contestants will be making towers of French Macarons (macaroons)!

We LOVE macarons at Very Special Celebrations. If you’ve never tasted a macaroon you don’t know what you’re missing! When packaged creatively, they make unique bomboniere… or why not try a macaron pyramid? A pyramid or tower of macaroons is a fantastic alternative to a wedding cake or any special occasion cake!

We’re fast approaching the end of August which means, as I said earlier in the week, SPRING is here! My favourite time of year! It also means our special – 15% off bomboniere – ends on Monday! We’ve been running this special for almost three months and it’s time to bring it to an end on 31st August. New blog layout! Hope you like it.

I’m in the process of making a big list – things that need to be prepared for the upcoming Ideal Bride and Formal Expo. We’ll be there, showing off some of our lovely products – in particular – wedding bomboniere!

While I’m thinking of it, I will unfortunately have to close our shop a few hours early on Friday 11th September, in order to travel to the RNA Showgrounds in Brisbane and set up our display for the Expo, which opens that evening. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this may cause – it just can’t be helped on that particular day I’m afraid, as I have no one else available then to look after things for me back at base camp. Closing time is yet to be confirmed. I need to work a few things out!

We’ll be open on the Saturday morning from 9am as usual and my darling husband will be looking after the store while I’m out “expo-ing”!

Enough for now… Will check back in during the week, with hopefully something a little more inspiring and creative to share!
